Spring’s Harbinger – American Robin

This beautiful 10×10 inch American Robin painting is painted on Gallery wrapped canvas. This piece came to me one summer day when I was at Little Manitou Art Gallery showing my work. It was a very hot day and the birds were coming in to drink and bathe in a small outdoor pond on the property. Among them were some robins with their amazingly bright orange chest. As they came in they’d perch on a hand rail before jumping down to the pond. I thought this would make a great little painting and memory of the day.
